On the hillside of Mount Batur, you will find Pinggan Village, a village with beautiful scenery. According to Detik, this village is often called the “Land Above the Clouds” because in the morning, it is always covered in thick fog. If you are interested in seeing the beautiful sunrise in Bali, Pinggan Village is the place to be. However, if you plan to go there, it is best to wear warm clothing because the temperature can drop to 16-18 degrees Celsius. The best time to visit is from 05.00-06.00 WITA to catch the sunrise. Try to avoid visiting during the rainy season as you will not be able to see the misty clouds.

In addition to enjoying the sunrise, you can also taste delicious dishes, such as stir-fried vegetables, chicken satay, fried noodles, fried rice, and others at restaurants along Kintamani Village. Or, you can relax at cafes with views of Mount Batur.

Location: Pinggan Village, Kintamani, Bangli, Bali, approximately 2.5-hour drive from Denpasar City center using private vehicles.

Entrance fee: Free, but some spots managed by locals may be charge an entrance fee. The parking fee is around Rp10,000.

Gembleng Waterfall

Despite being famous for its beaches, Bali Island also has waterfalls you can visit during your vacation there. One is Gembleng Waterfall, which has three natural pools resembling infinity pools. These pools are naturally formed and perfect for swimming and taking photos. The surrounding scenery around the pools is stunning, with a combination of lush forests and green rice fields. On clear days, you can even catch a view of the sea from a distance. To get there, you have to climb about 60 stairs. Do not worry, the stairs are easy to navigate.

If you get hungry, you can eat at restaurants located very close to the waterfall, such as Warung Parwati, Warung Telaga Sidemen, and others. There, you can taste local Indonesian food.

Hidden Canyon Beji Guwang

Not far from Beji Guwang Temple, there is a hidden canyon offering stunning scenery called Hidden Canyon Beji Guwang. In the Balinese language, Beji means a sacred river. This canyon is formed by the erosion of river currents that have occurred for thousands of years.

Before gaining popularity, this canyon was once a local fishing spot. What is unique is that if you look closer, the cliffs forming this canyon are shaped like human expressions and some even resemble animals.

After visiting this place, you can try local Balinese cuisine at restaurants, such as Waroeng Podjok, Ankhusa Restaurant Ubud, The Kawi Resto, and many more.
