The island of Bali is well-known for its iconic beaches such as Kuta, Seminyak, and Sanur, which are always top destinations for tourists. However, if you explore deeper, Bali also has hidden beaches that are just as breathtaking and worth discovering. Have you ever visited them, or is this your first time hearing about them?

So, if you're planning a holiday to Bali, make sure not to miss the chance to visit its hidden beaches. Curious to know where they are? Check out the list below!

Nyang Nyang Beach

Located not far from Uluwatu Temple, Bali, Nyang Nyang Beach deserves a spot on your travel bucket list when visiting the island. This hidden gem offers stunning natural views and high waves, making it a paradise for surf enthusiasts.

Not only that, but this beach also features cliffs covered in lush greenery, golden-white sand, and turquoise-blue water that enhances its beauty even more. Here, you can enjoy various activities such as camping, playing in the sand, sunbathing, and more.

Location: Jalan Raya Uluwatu Pecatu, South Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali.

Soka Beach

Unlike most beaches, Soka Beach, which is located in eastern Bali, has smooth, glimmering black sand. Just like Nyang Nyang Beach, this one is known for its powerful waves, making it less suitable for swimming.

The safest activities here are walking along the shore, taking photos, or simply relaxing. If the weather is clear, you can even enjoy the spectacular view of Mount Agung’s peak. On the western side, you’ll also find a large coral rock that locals believe was once used as a cooking pot by a legendary figure named Kebo Iwa.

Location: Jalan Raya Denpasar Gilimanuk KM 45, Soka Village, Selemadeg, Tabanan, Bali.

Operating Hours: 07.00 – 17.00 WITA

Green Bowl Beach

Green Bowl Beach is one of Bali's hidden beaches that offers mesmerizing scenery. This beach offers a tranquil atmosphere with soft white sand that makes it even more beautiful. It also features a natural rock cave inhabited by bats.

The name Green Bowl comes from the unique natural phenomenon where, during low tide, clusters of coral trap the seawater, leaving moss and forming green-colored natural pools. Besides Green Bowl, this beach is also known as Bali Cliff, named after a resort that once stood there but no longer exists today.

Location: Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

Operating Hours: Monday–Sunday (daily)

Melasti Beach

Often used as the main site for the Melasti Ceremony, this beach was once hidden behind limestone hills. The hill was later split into two, transforming the area into today’s popular tourist destination. Besides offering stunning panoramas, the beach also features a lovely waterfall.

You’ll find several facilities here, such as toilets, food stalls, gazebos, and surfboard rentals. And the road? The winding road was carved directly through the hill that once concealed Melasti Beach, creating a breathtaking route down to the shore.

Location: Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

Operating Hours: Monday–Sunday (daily)
